Memory Records is an Italian record label founded in 1983 and specializing mainly in Italo-Disco and SpaceSynth.
The exclusive producer was Alessandro Zanni, the art producer was Stefano Cundari. On the label they released their projects Hipnosis, Koto, Cyber People. The label has also worked with such Italian disco artists as: J.D. Jaber, Mike Cannon, Duke Lake, Baby's Gang, Ken Laszlo, Alan Ross, Brian Ice, Roy, Swan. In addition to the main studio in Italy, Memory Records had branches in Spain and Germany. Digital Records (from 1985 to 1986 - Plexi-Glass Productions) was a subsidiary studio of Memory Records from 1985 to 1988.
ZYX Records became a partner of Memory Records from the first releases, licensing almost all products for sale in Germany. In 1984, ZYX even started using Memory Records logos and catalogs.
The decline of Memory Records began in 1987 with the decline of interest in Italo-disco and the increasing popularity of house music in Europe. Then the label refocused on Eurobeat and house, but without much success. In 1989, Memory Records closed down, selling the ZYX catalogs. Alessandro Zanni and Stefano Cundari formed M.C.E. Records to produce techno and house, but ceased operations after Cundari's death in 1993.
