A megamix is a remix containing multiple songs in rapid succession. It often features various artists. There may be only one verse or even just a brief chorus of each song used, sometimes in addition to samples of the same or other songs. It is common to use different samples to maintain and sometimes even ridicule the original. To unify the songs together smoothly, a single backing beat may be added as background throughout the megamix, although this isn't a must. This backing beat is kept basic so as to simplify mixing & to not compete with the music. These mixes are usually several minutes long at minimum, going up to a half-hour or an hour, or even more sometimes.
Now, almost every second music lover who has installed an audio editor is trying to create various mixes & megamixes online. Almost always such experiments end with the fact that a person, having understood the basic functionality of program, tritely cuts tracks, and then simply merges them together. Well, that's how the whole mix would be. It's very good if these cuts/merges are made in the right place of melodies, otherwise it is completely bottom. I'm already silent about the quality of the selected material (meaning bitrate), sound normalization, additional special effects and so on. People have apparently forgotten that mixing really means mixing & not just shortening tracks, making them a dry non-stop medley. There are now many low-quality mixes on the Internet that fall under the description above. They have eclipsed those pearls that still occur! These are the pearls that I would like to collect in this topic!
Well, I suggest starting with this. I present to your attention an amazing mix of my very favorite compositions, made, perhaps, by one of the best masters! This is Fantasy MIX 204 - Ancient Secrets by SpaceAnthony, created in 2017! As many of us are well aware, SpaceAnthony is the author of many cool mixes, & also a kind of celebrity in the world of Spacesynth and related styles! Of course, we appreciate him for the fact that he makes very solid, monolithic mixtures. Let's thank the author of the selection for his absolute talent and delight our ears with it!

I like megamixes, of course, high-quality, perfectly made! Sometimes I don't pay attention to them, but if I come across a decent Mix on the web, I will definitely listen to it & write my review on it. For example, I found "Spacehawk vs. SynthOne (Spacesynth Megamix) by SpaceMouse". It is worth saying that I was completely delighted with it, and I certainly decided to share it with you! Yes, SpaceMouse makes wonderful selections & with this mix he proved it once again! He very competently composed a "batch" consisting of the creations by Anton Eriksson (Spacehawk) and Robert Guy (Syntone) that I adore! The transitions from one track to another are very smooth, the whole mix is listened to in one breath! Very cool! Now I wish this DJ to continue to delight us with new incomparable gifts, because he is a real Master at this! And may his beloved music give him a lot of happiness! Hurrah!

It is called Space Odyssey - Spacesynth Megamix by Laser Vision (2020). It contains truly magnificent works from various parts of Space Odyssey (more, of course, from the 6th part, released in 2020), and there is also a piece from Space Holidays Vol. 11. I will not specify the names of the tracks here, you will recognize them perfectly when you listen to it. All of them are well known to our community, because we often heard them. I think I was very lucky to find it on the web, so I decided to share my joy with you. I also note that it's perfectly formed, & its main difference from others is the presence of atmospheric inserts between the themes. May you like this Megamix as much as I do!

This is MEMBERS OF SPACESYNTH 2019 (Megamix by SpaceAnthony). You can talk about the coolest mixes of this nice man here for a very long time and only in excellent tones! He is rightfully considered a great professional, always choosing compositions so that they all perfectly harmonize with each other! And this mixture should also be highlighted for the presence of particles of the works I really adore in it! The introduction to it, by the way, also turned out to be amazing, it sets you up for a cheerful mood and for listening to this delicious assorted 2019! Although there are small DJ inserts here, they don't bring any inconvenience at all and don't spoil the overall musical component of the Megamix at all! Yes, SpaceAnthony deserves a lot of compliments for his job, it's not for nothing that he is one of the famous and popular compilers of such "glues"! And I really want to believe that each of them will definitely collect a decent amount of positive comments & will be loved by Spacesynth music fans!
