Hey everybody. I wanted to give some interim information about the development of my upcoming album from Everdune. I'm about to publish it, hopefully this year. So far, so good. The purpose would be to make an album containing alternative spacesynth music, with 12 new songs. This time I will not include a single remake of any of my previous songs.
At the moment I have six more or less finished tracks. Of course, there may still be some mixing and fine-tuning but I can say that most of the work has been done so far. In addition, I have six other song beginnings in development and I am outlining the mood and playing order of the album. Some song ideas I have rejected along the way, and instead I have received better ideas.
I do everything myself, including mastering and album covers. But I have received important guidance from one of my colleagues. Big thanks to him! The album cover is already planned, of course I will still consider possible additional new ideas, but I'm quite happy about it as it is now. I haven't used AI technology for the cover art at all, because making art is an intrinsic value for me and part of this whole album making process.
I will release some promotion megamix later, but here are some sneak peaks for my album in text form:
The album title: "The Aces Strikes Back"
Cover art description: Two persons with uniforms and capes running, sun skyline, flashings in the crimson sky.
The titles of the ready tracks in random order so far:
- The Aces Strikes Back
- Wings of Unity
- Game Changer
- Crimson Sky
- Meteor Mayhem
- The Haste
Many uptempo tracks, a couple of slow ballads included. Contains a lot more vocoders than my previous albums. The album is made using Renoise DAW tracker, as all of my previous Everdune albums. The style is demoscenish Spacesynth, lots of variations, a bit more complex than classic Spacesynth. The track length varies from 4-5 minutes mostly.
Best, Saul (Everdune/Lightracer)
