Rules of the "Promotions" section & recommendations

Before making a publication, please read the rules of this section & our recommendations for posting messages. This way we will be able to achieve the greatest informativeness.
The "Promotions" section publishes news about past or upcoming events in such a musical style as Spacesynth.
1) This should be news.
News is considered an event that occurred within the next weeks or month, as well as an event that is scheduled for the next months or year. This can be any kind of information such as: notification of a newly released album / compilation / track, a video recording of a clip or concert, a performance poster, an announcement of the premiere of a new release, press publications, interviews, etc. For each month, a special topic has been created here, in which the events that occurred during this month are arranged. If the new month has arrived and there is no theme yet, you can safely create it yourself. Before publishing, check earlier messages, including for the previous month, it is possible that this has already been posted.
Remember that a track/album posted by someone on the web just the other day may already be old. There is nothing difficult to use the search and "punch" it.
Exceptions:
- It is allowed to publish information about an old song, if, for example, a remix has been made or a video clip has been released. In this case, it is considered a new event.
- It is allowed to publish information about an old album/compilation, if, for example, a reissue of it has been released or is planning to be released. In this case, this event will also be a new one.
2) The event must relate directly or indirectly to Spacesynth.
There is a special "Other Music" section on the forum to discuss other musical styles. You can also create a new topic there if you can't find a suitable one for posting your message. Thus, we will be able to separate other music that does not relate to the subject of our site, but which our users also want to talk about.
Exceptions:
- It is allowed to publish information about events in other styles of electronic music close to Spacesynth (Synthwave, Retrowave, Italo Disco, etc.), provided that the author who will be discussed in your news is a well-known Spacesynth musician or, at least, actively writes Spacesynth music. When publishing this fact, it is definitely worth mentioning.
- It is allowed to publish information about the release of new albums or compilations in other styles, provided that they contain at least one Spacesynth track.
3) Write the names of tracks & albums in text.
When posting publications from resources such as Youtube, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, etc., please duplicate the title of the track/album with text. This is necessary so that if the material is deleted from these resources, it would be possible to restore the history of events and, if possible, replace the broken link. In addition, the message is indexed by these names in our search. Without the text, your post will be impossible to find by search.
4) Check the published information & refer to the original source.
Try to check the information you post. There are a lot of false and unverified news on the Internet. Let's not create another garbage dump. The only original and authoritative source of some news may be the official website (including a blog, a page on a social network, a Youtube channel, etc.) of a musician or label. When publishing, link to these sites so that you can verify the authenticity.
5) Add links to audio or video from official sources to the publication, if possible.
Try to publish only links from the authors' official channels. This way we will ensure maximum reliability of information and support for the author's channels.
Exceptions:
- It is allowed to publish audio/video from unknown channels, provided that the original source could not be found.
- It is allowed to publish links to the direct download of any audio material, provided that the link is presented by the author or published with the author's permission.
6) If possible, try to make your news as informative and beautiful as possible.
Remember that forum posts, unlike social networks, stay for a long time. They will be read in months and even years. That's why, when posting news, please try to provide as much information about the event as possible, if it's possible. Write in your own words who and what album is releasing, with names and titles. Add covers. The more information we save, the better for the history!
If you provide a link to some text, it is advisable to quote this text also in your message, because the original source may not be available over time, and your message will remain for a long time. If the text is in another language, then try to translate it at least with the help of Google Translator (by briefly correcting the grammar). It will always be welcome!
Note: The points that are very important for compliance are marked in red, and recommendations are marked in light green.
