In many cities and countries, the Internet speed already reaches 1 Gbit/s, and these packages are becoming more and more accessible to mere mortals for a very reasonable price. However, there are still old communication channels in some houses/districts, and high-speed optical Internet seems to be something unattainable.
It is interesting to find out what the speed of the home Internet is for users of our forum, primarily interested in the download speed (download). Depending on your answers, Admins will know how to optimize and configure the functionality of our forum so that the pages load as best as possible. Well, just to discuss this topic, I think it will also be interesting. Tell us what kind of connection you have (wired/wireless), whether you are satisfied with the quality of your network, whether your traffic is limited, whether there is enough speed / traffic for surfing the web (movies, music, streaming, etc.). And if you have a wish, also share a link to your provider and tell us what package you have. It will be very interesting to compare the set and cost of services in different regions.

How do I find out the speed?
Speed is indicated in the description of the package when concluding a contract with the provider. You can also measure it using various sites, for example - https://www.speedtest.net/. To make the measurement result as accurate as possible, make sure that you are not downloading anything at the moment.

It should be 200 mbps up and down (fiber) but I never get above 100 mbps on my home network. That is of course with other people in the house using the same connection for watching television, gaming and streaming.

@Rob 100 Gb/s (hundred GIGABYTES per second) looks a bit much to me ;)

Dear forum participants! 76454545
I decided to tell you about the Internet in my house and briefly answer in this topic:
- The speed of my home Internet is up to 100 Mbit/s.;
ā€“ I have a wired connection, a stationary laptop is on the desk;
- I am generally satisfied with the quality of the network, although sometimes there are failures, but they are easy to eliminate;
- I have enough traffic speed: I listen to music and also watch movies/broadcasts;
- My Internet provider is Lan-Optic, here is a link to the website: https://lanoptic.ru/.
- The cost of services is 500 rubles per month (unlimited tariff, 1 daily subscription fee for apartments).
Thank you very much for the attention to my answer! All the best to you all in this life, warmth, peace and good luck! 98459684378
