Aleksandra was born in 1985 in the city of Gdansk (Northern Poland). She created this project in 2000, after she first listened to the song by Laserdance - The Challenge on her friend's cassette. Before she started recording, she was mainly interested in 80s music and was a guitarist in several local "garage" rock bands.
Having written all the compositions under the pseudonym Vocoderion, which she created herself, without anyone's participation, in July 2005, the AXIS Records label released a debut album titled "Biomechanical Structure", which is the first so-called "gloomy" Spacesynth album, because it sounds different than most albums of this genre. Due to its unusual nature & good melodies, the issue has gained great popularity among fans of such music and CD still has a rare value for collectors.
Unfortunately, this is Vocoderion's only album so far. Single compositions of the project can be found in the track listings of the publications "The Best of Space Sound, Vol. 1", "Synthesizer Tribute To Depeche Mode", "Spacesound Records Megamix Vol. 1", "Space Sound Records Presents: Revelation Mix" and the megamixes "Alpha Centauri Megamix Vol 1 and 2", the author also sometimes makes cover versions of other creations. Now the musician writes more electronic music on various synthesizers (mainly on Yamaha), and still plays guitar from time to time, not as much as it used to be, trying to find time for Vocoderion and T-1000 projects.
Recently, a small number of single works by the author have been presented on YouTube and Soundcloud channels, both in Spacesynth and in other music genres. The project is not in hiatus and it is quite possible that Vocoderion will delight us with a new album and single releases.
