These are mine. They're not from a brand, they're cheap but they are the perfect for me because they don't focus on bass so it's easier to focus on all sounds
Other than that I also have sa-920 plus mostly for listening because they have a bit strong bassRe: Studio Headphones
I've been a bit obsessed with headphones at the moment. Been using the Sony's for years and I'm surprised they have lasted this long. Everything I've ever mixed and mastered over the last 12 years was done on these. I bought the DT700's as their replacement. The isolation of these headphones are great. Still adjusting to their sound. They really really keep noise out and also don't annoy the wife with sound leakage. I use the DT880's for final mix and mastering only. These ones really do annoy the wife because of the open back leakage. And again these are fairly new and still adjusting to the sound.

Re: Studio Headphones
Sennheiser HD 650.
Bought them without testing, just trusting the word of a fellow producer. They didn't disappoint. Best headphones I've ever used or tried. I also prefer them for mixing, instead of my Genelec monitors..
And apparently the modified version of them, the HD6XX (by Masdrop), are as good, while being a little cheaper.
I also have Sennheiser 280 Pro's, that were my previous longtime studio headphones. Just before the 650's I bought a pair of AKG K712 Pro's,
which were quite quickly made useless, by the 650's. I still have them as reference/backup headphones.
And if I need to have headphones on the go, I'll take the 280's.
As a sidenote, Beyerdynamics headphones really don't go well with my ears. The sound of them make my ears hurt in about 10-15mins of use.
(compared to the 650's, that I can use for hours without any discomfort. even the 280's made my ears sweat after couple hours. have had 8+ hour sessions with the 650's)
I was once "forced" to have a pair of DT770's, as I wanted Sennheisers (think it was 270 Pro's) at certain time and my brother bought me the 770's as a gift, labeling the box with a Sennheiser text taped on top of Beyerdynamics. I used them maybe a year. Not sure if I replaced them with the 280's or briefly with something else.
All the different Beyerdynamics models I have tried over the years have the same effect on my ears. Something in the mid-highs that my ears just don't like. Even cheap Sennheisers have sounded better.
