According to the genre. If I listen to gothic-symphonic metal (Delain, Nightwish, Forever Slave etc), it will be quite loud. On the other hand, when I listen to electronic, disco and this kind of genres, the volume will not be very loud.

I prefer to listen to music through speakers, because I'm not really used to headphones so far (although I must admit that the music in them sounds in a some special way). I turn it on not very loudly so that I can communicate, for example, with my mother. And I don't really wanna disturb the neighbors. Of course, sometimes in the past I could make it louder, but it was mostly at those moments when I wanted to drown out my emotional disorder with this. In general, it helped, and I conquered my depression. And now I'm trying not to think about it. So music cured me, for which I am very grateful to it! I usually prefer headphones because there are times that you may miss some details through speakers. Like I told, it's basically up to the genre I listen to at that moment .
