There are some nice sounds but also a lot of “bread and butter” sounds. IMO nothing a nice VST can’t do. For spacesynth I only use the strings which are nice and warm.
But.. it can hold one SR-JV80 expansion card, so you could put in a nice Vintage Synth expansion card (SR-JV80-04) for example

I have a JV880 and a JV1080.. you can actually load the same preset cards on both machines but the weird thing is that the JV880 sounds more “warm” then the 1080.
I am pretty sure they both use the same circuitry (more or less) it’s weird

Actually I never really understand why people make “re-edits” by just adding a extra drumbeat which actually fades with the original one and makes it sound worse
